Scalable, permissionless, highly leveraged. Each brand is run by a public operator. Sam runs the holdco layer beneath: capital, systems, hiring, reporting, strategy. The rule: no brand launches without validated unit economics.
Approach
Principle 01
Each brand has a public operator whose story and credibility drive the brand. Barton Holdings sits underneath as the infrastructure layer. The face and the operator can be the same person, but they don't have to be.
Principle 02
No brand gets growth capital before its unit economics are proven at small scale. If it can't grow on lean capital, more capital won't fix it.
Principle 03
Service businesses, location-dependent businesses, and anything that requires founder presence to operate get rejected at the concept stage. The failure record taught this.
