First pair of boots
Played rugby in New Zealand from childhood. Represented New Zealand at club level. Moved to South Africa in 2017, continued playing — SA Rugby Legends (2021–present), Monaco Sevens (2018).
Built a mouthguard brand while still playing rugby in New Zealand. Sold it in 2008 at age 21. First exit. Proved early that building and selling was faster than employment.
Represented Monaco in the 2018 Monaco Sevens tournament in Dubai. One of the less traditional pathways to international rugby — through Monaco's team, not New Zealand's. A connection that later led to the Water Bike Challenge.
